Luxor African Film Festival reveals the poster of its 8th edition And sign a media protocol with dmc

The Luxor African Film Festival reveals the poster of its 8th edition which will take place from 15 till 21 Mars 2019.

Artist Mohamed Abla, designer of the poster declared that the idea was to show a simple image which highlights the value of the work of women (great contributor to civilization) in a rural area through a scene which gathered an Egyptian peasant and an African peasant in their daily ritual. The poster is drawn in cheerful and shrill colors which symbolize the optimism. As for the motives, they reflect the details of our common stories.

Sayed Fouad, president of the festival signed the protocol of cooperation and media sponsoring with dmc television Channel directed by Hisham Soleimane. Besides an executive memorandum was signed by Azza Elhosseiny, executive director of the festival in the presence of the actor and member of the Higher Committee of LAFF, Sabri Fawaze. Hisham Soleimane, for his part, emphasized the importance of this collaboration especially since LAFF is the flagship film event of the African continent at the moment since President Abdel Fattah EL Sissi will assume the presidency of the African Union from February 2019.

The actor Sabri Fawaze insisted as well on the importance of the partnership between LAFF and dmc, which proved its worth, especially during the prestigious opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 edition at the temples of Luxor and Hatshepsut.

Luxor African Film Festival events will begin on March 10, 2019 with the film production workshop under the supervision of director Saad Hendaoui.

The Luxor African Film Festival is organized by the Independent Shabab Foundation (ISF) with an exclusive media sponsorship of the dmc television channels and the support of the Ministries of Culture, Foreign Affairs, Tourism, Youth and the National Bank of Egypt in cooperation with the Luxor Governorate and the Film Syndicate.
